With Starfleet assigning Task Force 37 to the Delta Quadrant to begin significant expansion and operations in the Area concern has been growing over the loss of long range probes sent out towards an unclaimed area of space. Every time a probe reaches the area it records Hirogen vessels before being destroyed. The area being both unclaimed and unexplored Starfleet believes these to be simply Hirogen ships lurking in the area not wishing to be found.
