Next Great Experiment

Over 100 years ago, Starfleet began its first Great Experiment. The Transwarp drive. It was to propel Starfleet and the Federation into a new age of exploration, send ships and crews to the far reaches of the galaxy and expand the known worlds. It was to create a Golden Age of Exploration.

While the experiment failed and a Golden Age soon dawned regardless, Starfleet has always been driven to go farther, go faster, to boldly go where no man has gone before. And that goal has never been closer than before. In 2378 when the USS Voyager returned from the Delta Quadrant she brought back untold new technologies that had only been theory before, one such technology was the Quantum Slipstream Drive. While Starfleet had tinkered with the idea before, Voyager had gained real, practical usage knowledge of the drive and delivered into the hands of some of the brightest minds in the Galaxy with the resources to make it work.

Thus was born, the USS Vesta. The original under the steerage of Admiral Quinn and crews at Utopia Plantia proved to be an excellent design, though one fraught with issues that needed to be ironed out. While initially a failure, the ship was sent back to the yard where crews mulled over the data with a fine tooth comb and a new team brought aboard. Headed by an Admiral Markstrom and a new Chief, Commander Yoshi Minawara, The Vesta was refit and retooled with countless hours spent on figuring out where they went wrong.

And they soon found their answer.

Now, Commander Minawara, aided by his old friend Commander Darrow, commands this new ship of exploration. The Next Great Experiment, the ship meant to bring the dawn of a New Golden Age. The USS Vesta.

Join the Vesta today and help to explore places never before seen by Federation eyes, places only dreamed of.
