Re: Star Trek Discovery Trailer

See, CBS did the thing where they took their Trek fans for granted, tried to appease them by giving them another "Prime Universe" show, but screwed it up by making it 1. a prequel, 2. LENSFLARES! and 3. difference for the sake of difference in so many ways, from uniforms to Klingon makeup. I know we...

Re: Niche sim ideas

I'd certainly dig the idea of an NCIS style Simm. Something Star Trek themed focused on a team of Agents that go around investigating Crimes caused by and involving Starfleet. Great scope for characters and it'd be interesting to see what kind of cases they'd become involved with. An NCIS-style sim...

Re: My custom Star Trek Uniforms

These are pretty fun. I've never much liked the TNG styling, but I could get used to these as opposed to the DS9/Voyager pajamas.

Re: New Task Force Region

I'd suggest that would be the case for any new region for a Task Force created in this manner. PF is not grouping already existing ships in the region, it's asking new simm COs to design a game for that region. Whether it was the Gamma Quadrant, Borderlands or Sector 001, it's going to be possible t...

Re: New Task Force Region

I'd agree that traditional sims would be more difficult in Sector 001. But I could see a political sim, Starfleet Core of Engineers, border patrol, or other sim like that. Or basically, the "we're the closest ship in the sector so Starfleet assigned us" sim.

Re: Republic of the First Worlds

As a player on this sim, and the one who posed the question to Yoshi, I'd like to add an additional request. That the Vesta crew be allowed leeway to develop the Republic faction and species organically during the course of the mission. (There's a big question whether we're allowed to, since this is...

Re: Delta Quadrant Map

Is there a higher resolution version? It's hard to read the very small text for individual planets.

Re: Proposal: Change PFA to PFEC and Eliminate Admiral Ranks

I didn't get a chance to attend today's meeting, but I did find something interesting there to comment on. It's not mentioned here, but in the meeting Alex mentioned that the characters currently attached to PFA officers would likely become NPCs. I'd find this absolutely fascinating, and support it ...

Re: Proposal: Changes to PF Judicial System

My sentence after that however was the fact that none of them would have read and considered it deep enough to understand every nuance of what was written in them. I think that's a bad assumption. It is certainly plausible that a CO has deeply read the constitution and knows its nuance. If I were a...

Re: Proposal: Changes to PF Judicial System

Seems to me that PF's history (as mentioned by William earlier in the thread) includes one grand and glorious case, and one proffered opinion elsewise . I see no dire, desperate need to staff an office that doesn't get used. If a JAG person is needed, then appoint one when necessary. Let them be an ...
