Re: Drone Fighter Program

While I realize that you've put a lot of work into this thing, and on paper it sounds good, the fact that as we develop our communications technology to be jam resistant, the ability of jamming devices almost always outstrips the ability of the prevention measures. Now take into account what we are ...

Re: USS Dauntless Forum Add-On

Currently, we are over the allowed nodes for our hosting plan (we have over 138,000 files/dirs, we are only allowed 100,000). Until we can switch providers, we can't install any additional sites or software on existing sites for fear of being cut off.

Ships of the line do not have fighters or marines.

Re: [Proposed] Century-class Specifications

The main problem I see is that after the Dominion War, it was clearly stated that the fleet was going in the direction of smaller, more capable ship as opposed to Goliaths like the Sovereign. As a ship of the line, it does have scientific capabilities, and tactical, but it is "Multi-Purpose" like th...

Re: Rank in relation to ship class.

Really, we're playing a game. The ships are offered without regard to initial rank to draw COs in. You're over-thinking the logic of the whole matter. If we didn't offer the bigger/better ships from the start, then the COs would just go to another fleet that would be more than happy to give them to ...

Re: Excalibur Class Queries

Sharp eye! Primary, not Primart. When you are typing in ship specs... It's a lot of typing.

As for the warp core, the M/ARA is in main engineering, which I took to be common sense at the time.

Re: [Proposed] M-705 Main Battle Tank

Just to add a point of... experience. Tanks would be worse than useless. With the current guidance systems, they would only serve as simple target practice for air vehicles. Even in TOS, a Starship could use it's phasers to wide area stun entire cities, or target specific parts of enemy ships while ...

Re: Would this work!? Manipulating the warp field to change.

Wouldn't work. The nacelles have to work in conjunction with one another, in alignment, or else the warp field (bubble) would collapse. Most likely this failure would be catastrophic, severely damaging if not destroying the ship. Warp engines are uni-directional, forward only, and can make only slig...

Re: What makes "Pegasus Fleet" a Fleet?

Take it as you will, but as a CO, you've seen certain initiatives that we've started, like TG CO/XO lists to try to inspire a bit of a community and identity even within the TGs. I can't say they are all being used to the extent that I'd like, but they are there to use. IRC lets people chat in real ...

Re: PC/PNPC/NPC in Nova 3

I wouldn't say it hinders creativity, actually, quite the opposite. It encourages players to either post for those PNPCs or denigrate them to normal NPCs that anyone can post for. The idea here is that if you aren't posting for them, then they either shouldn't be there... Or they should be opened up...
