Ship Histories?

Alright, so there's this thing on the Zeus I like - it's a history of the ship, it's in SMS, and I don't know if Nova could even stand to have a page like that unto itself, outside of Thresher. I want to create such a thing for the Dauntless, so I want some suggestions - what should be in the histor...

Re: Alarm Bells

I was thinking maybe the Tholians, or the Breen. The ship was stolen by the Romulans and kept as a war prize by them - in commemoration of the Earth/Romulan war. The other option opened by the quantum singularity, of course, is that it comes from a mirror universe, perhaps even The Mirror Universe. ...

Re: Lost and Found Causes

That was where I thought the drama would primarily come from, actually. In part, the Prime Directive does not apply - doomsday weapons gone awry are not part of the "natural development" of any known species, planet, or system. Also, if the ship arrives in that condition, they're likely to be unable...

Re: CMO/XO looking for a ship

The Dauntless is just starting out, we definitely could use a CMO. And your character looks really interesting. I'd want to talk to you about the eidetic memory, as it can be a drama-killer, but otherwise, that's a great character.

Re: Know Your Character Q1

Buris would probably grab either a tricorder or a transporter beacon. His goal would be to get somewhere safe ASAP, or get communications with Starfleet. Then again, he'd be more likely to go down with the ship.

Opran I don't know yet.

Myself and Lillith Nosche are also new jersey - though significantly farther north than Meeko's bullet point.

Lost and Found Causes

The ship is on a research mission, accompanied by an Astrophysics class from the Vulcan Science Academy. They are going to a distant binary system, T'kala. In a case that the VSA lists as "highly statistically improbable", long-range sensors have indicated that both T'kala A & B look like they will ...

Alarm Bells

A research outpost on the frontier has sent out a distress signal. It appears that a derelict starship is approaching them at something in-between impulse and warp, with a cochrane-field "shell" that stops time-dilation, but does not push the ship into subspace - it's already proven its deadly capac...

Exploration is Infectious

Many star systems are catalogued by the Federation and filed away because they don't support life (or at least, not life as we know it). Sometimes, a starship is sent to study one or more of these systems, or it simply "fits" with the direction of another mission. The Kulep System is just one of the...

Short-Sell on the Longshore

It is a fact that vessels are lost in space. Some of these ships destroy themselves in the gravity well of a sun, some are just taken as 'space junk', and some simply drift in interstellar space, never quite making it to a sun's gravity to become a fancy asteroid. A Federation cargo frigate, the SS ...
