Suggestion: Uhura Award
I recommend creation of this Sim Award be created to recognize valuable group communication. Players who make the effort to facilitate joint-posts are an essential part of turning sims from a collection of isolated fan fictions into a synergistic collaborative effort. Part coordinator, part cheerlea...

Nova Enhancement Request - SignOn
Many Nova websites are not protected by SSL encryption. This means that any and all network sniffers between the user and the forums can read everything communicated back and forth. If there isn't already one, I suggest adding a 'tunnel' or 'vpn' module which encrypts at least the login information....

Re: Views on Starting an RPG Ad Site
Indeed, it is only right for hosts to be at least co-Admins. I say that, though, haunted by the epic Jconserv disaster. Once it was one of the largest forum hosts in the world (as I understand). One day, the plug was pulled without warning. I lost my first USS Yorktown site and also a Battlestar Sim...

Re: Views on Starting an RPG Ad Site
Suggestion - Artist Permissions Some artists require securing their permission before using their graphics. Some say no way. Some say yes, but only if you credit them and include a link to their site. Could RPG Universe/Multiverse have an area to list artists and their preferences as we encounter t...

Re: ELOA Experiment
Oh, issues other than ELOA? A bit of a topic shift, but okay. I've been fortunate with my own crews. I haven't had any who picked on other players. If there are misunderstandings, I encourage them to openly discuss them with the group in OOC threads. We're a team of peers who shouldn't feel afraid t...

Attack of the Flying Saucers!
Attack of the Flying Saucers! Remember all those 1950's space movies where the flying saucers made right angle turns at high speed? Well, they're back. Their partially extradimensional infrastructure allows them to violate known physics. The alien vehicles in Robinson Crusoe on Mars 1964 is another...

Re: ELOA Experiment
OTouvelli, Actually, I only need to offer the proverbial carrot, but I don't need the stick. I'm prolific enough of a writer that missions progress with or without participation. Initially, my pace was too fast for some people to keep pace, but hopefully I've improved in that area. I encourage and w...

Re: ELOA Experiment
Indeed. Dropping a note to let everybody know is key. Vanishing without trace? Not so easy.
