Know your Character Q3

Post by Williams » Mon Oct 17, 2011 5:18 pm

Following the same rules as before:

What personal items does your character keep on their desk? What significance does it hold for them?

Kaitlen Walford: Kaitlen has her normal stuff on her desk, Computer Terminal, Padds, and then she has a Picture of her family.

Kellin Reynolds: Kellin has once again the Normal stuff as Kaitlen but also has a picture of his late wife on their wedding day and a picture of himself and his son Jordan.

Capt Aishel Enor: Aishel has a computer terminal and padds but also tin of chocolates and another of dog biscuits for her Chocolate Lab who has a bed in her ready room. Maybe some flowers sometimes. Coffee. Always

Dr Jorge Nunez: Jorge has a computer terminal and dozens of padds and a picture of his parents on their wedding day and a picture of him and his immediate family at the Family Reunion. And coffee.

Lt Adriana Hernandes: Hernandes has computer terminal, dozens of padds (again) but neat and orderly and a picture of her and her two best friends at the Academy. And coffee.

LtJG Brian 'Jax' Jackson: Jax has padds haphazardly across his desk, a bottle of some kind of liquor in a drawer with lots of candy bars for the captain's son who likes to appear out of nowhere (Hi, Terris, lol) and a picture of his family (two younger brothers, younger twin sisters, him and his parents) and him and Krogan Xerax at the Academy.

Dr Toras Selos: Normal stuff but super neat freak, a tin of cookies, and a vase of flowers, usually Andorian glitterlings. No pictures.

I'll just list the specific items of highest importance on my character's desks;

Capt. Benjamin Byrne: Ben keeps his wedding picture on his desk at all times. It was taken on Pacifica just before he left to go to war on the Hendrix, when he was almost certain he would never see his new wife again. Obviously it holds a special sentimental value to him.

LCdr. Nilani Prax: Nilani is still trying to sort herself out from her joining, despite it being 3 years ago, because she's pushed away the side of accepting it that all Trills that get joined should face. Her desk items tend to revolve quite a bit between items that hold significance for one of her past hosts, and none of the items last there long.

LCdr. Brian Ratchford: Not exactly on his desk, but he has a saxophone (not the one he normally plays) hanging on the wall behind his desk, displaying his fondness for the instrument and for jazz music in general.

Dr. David Deschanel: As with his sickbay, he keeps his office relatively sterile, though he does set aside pride-of-place for his various medical certificates, many of them gained before joining Starfleet.

Lt. Rosaria Corsi: Corsi has a number of items on her desk from the historical Renaissance period of Italy's history, as she is extremely fond of that period of her home nation's past.

Both of my characters still consider themselves to be settling in, but here's a brief description of what they've displayed on their desks so far...

Captain Mark Anderson: Mark has only been in command of the Eagle for a few months so he is still very much in the process of sorting out what exactly he would like to have in his ready room. There is a small shelf containing a few of Mark's favorite literary selections as well as a trio of framed photographs. The first was taken when Mark and his son (James) were on a camping trip only a few months after they were reunited. The second is again of Mark and James on a camping trip, this time only a few months before he assumed command of the Eagle. The third is of Mark and James during a visit to Mark's brother at the Cetacean Institute on Earth. It is one of the few pictures showing James and his uncle together due to Mark's extended assignments in deep-space.

It goes without saying that, as a Task Group Commanding Officer, Mark's desk also contains a good number more PADDs than the average commanding officer. He has managed to develop quite the system for organizing his work, but one will often find at least a small stack of PADDs situated somewhere on the desk.

Lieutenant JG Michael Watters: Being a former marine, Mike does not often carry as many sentimental items with him on assignment as other officers might. This is more due to practicality in the field than anything else. Although he does not have much on his office desk at the moment, Mike does display a few photographs on the shelf behind the desk in his quarters, including one of his search and rescue team from the war as well as another depicting Mike with the members of his relief team on Cardassia.

This question is easy for both Joshua and Colton, each would have a picture of Commander Michael Hart, killed in the line of duty.

What personal items does your character keep on their desk? What significance does it hold for them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Samanthia :: Duplicate pictures of her deceased husband and twin daughters to remind her to enjoy what she has and not to take for granted as it can be ripped from you except memories and knowledge to learn and gain wisdom from. Various PADDs, On going upgrades and new scenery for the Warp-12 Lounge and resturaunt Holo-projectors to provide an ever shifting decor andenviroment for her patrons to relax.

Amanda :: her desk is bare as she hardly ever in there. Better success in finding her down in the Shuttle bay, holodeck, or her den (quarters)
Resident Mousian
Ayla Bawden = USS Dreadnought Science Officer
Samanthia Akiashiro = SB-332 Warp-12 Lounge

Nicayla O'Dell :: A picture of her dad, a baseball signed by Sandy Koufax that has been passed down through the generations and is kept in a glass box, computer monitor, a calender, a cup with pens and pencils in it, a clock and a cup of coffee.
