Cruise ship
Would anyone be interested in simming a Federation cruise ship around the alpha and beta quadrants?
Re: Cruise ship
I am officially interested enough to ask for more information.

Re: Cruise ship
Players have a range of character ideas. One requirement would be that a player have a guest/passenger primary character.
Players can have an NPC in the crew if they wish.
The cruise ship itself can either be an actual cruiseliner design of which there are images on the net or an Excalibur-class that has been heavily redesigned inside to be more luxurious and spacious. It would retain only phaser strip arrays but no torpedoes or launchers as they were removed to make more room.
I will hash out a flight plan using the pegasus fleet map and since the ship is run by the White Star Line (though I like the name Supernova Cruises) corporation, made up of multiple races, they have treaties with the major empires for passage. So we can go anywhere.
It would be amusing to name the ship Titanic. I like Titania, but I will have a poll going for the name of both the ship and the corporation.

That sounds interesting, a good spot for an R&R...

Re: Cruise ship
Could be useful to join up with now and again. A little like a travelling starbase...kinda.

Re: Cruise ship
Yeah ships in the fleet can dock and have some R&R or join in the side plots that pop up.
I have several ideas. Pirates, Hijackers, Planetside Excursions, Diplomatic Tension, Trade Meetings, Ship's AI Problems, Rescue Missions, Medical Problems, Stellar Events and so on can happen on board or in the space around the ship.
Just want to know if there is actual regular simming potential in this idea then I can get a nova site made for it.

Re: Cruise ship
Actually quite a Good idea. No reason why it wouldn't work and like someone said it's like a mini starbase.

Re: Cruise ship
If you want a Big ship for such an Idea why not use the Diamond Star Class, that is a mobile Starbase.

Re: Cruise ship
Unfortunately the images of the Ship have sinced vanished from the Sites they were on...
But basically it was a Non-Canon Starfleet ship a Mobile Starbase.
It was a massive Version of a Prometheus Class, but with only two Warp Nacelles in the same position as the Sovereign class has them. but each Nacelle dwarfed the Sovereign class in length.
It had Eight type XIII Starbase Grade Phaser Arrays and a couple of Type XII Phaser strips on its pylons. Eight Torpedoe Tubes, four Aft and four forward.
The armour and shields on it were comparible to the moders Stabase shields and Ablative armour but its shields were regenerative and it was also capable of holding off a Borg Cube.
What it made up for in Firepower more than compenstated for its speed.
But you might be better off with a Canon ship that has plenty of images.
A Century Class Starship has images and a mesh for it, just GOOGLE the following: Century Class Starship and 1st image on the left is the ship I am on about.
