Grace Lee Whitney passes away

The perfectly cast beauty Yeoman Rand has passed on.
She lived a difficult life, but I'm glad to hear that she overcame her alcohol addiction in later years.

She was totally bad ass as a Commander in the movies too. Sad loss.

I saw the news a couple of days ago. It's sad to hear that we've lost another one. I haven't watched as much TOS as I need to, but she was always great as Rand.
