USS Dauntless Forum Add-On

The Command Staff would like to request a PHPBB forum to be installed alongside Nova for the Dauntless.

Currently, we are over the allowed nodes for our hosting plan (we have over 138,000 files/dirs, we are only allowed 100,000). Until we can switch providers, we can't install any additional sites or software on existing sites for fear of being cut off.

Wow, that is a very low limit. Web hosts these days are pulling this kind of thing far too often. They sell you a plan with "unlimited" storage then throw in a restriction like this. With CMS systems and forums the overall file size is fairly low but there are a lot of files within it.

Anywho, is there a restriction saying that the ship has to be hosted by Pegasus Fleet or could we buy our own server?

There is no requirement for your sim to be hosted on the Pegasus Fleet server. If you are able to find somewhere to host your website the PF Webmaster can provide you with the files required to make the transfer.

Actually, 100,000 is the point at which the automated warning message pops up with the link to the usage policy on the cPanel just making us aware of the excessive use policy. It's not until 150,000 that they start sending warnings.
