Hello everyone,

I am pleased to announce that the PFA has come to a decision on our new Academy Commandant. It is my pleasured to welcome Rear Admiral Remora Sumuru to the Pegasus Fleet Admiralty.

Beyond having characters in multiple sims, such as Master Warrant Officer Vestara Stronghold of Starbase 332 and Captain Moesha V'tani of Starbase Zeta, Admiral Sumuru is also been responsible for many of the wonderful graphics displayed on the Pegasus Fleet website, most notably our ship banners.

Please congratulate Admiral Sumuru and give him a warm welcome. I'm looking forward to having him on the PFA.

Should I register as Sumuru on the forums?

You don't have to re-register, you can actually change your name without making a whole new account. Go to "User Control Panel," and then "Profile." On the left-hand side click "Edit account settings" and there is a space for changing your name.

Though I would like to keep my CO separate from my ACAD character.

I guess I am not understanding then. You only need one forum account, I think it would be confusing if you had more than one. In general I don't believe we post in-character, and it would be less confusing for people as well, since they would know that you were both Admiral Sumuru and Captain V'Tani, if that makes sense?

I'm not sure I understand either. Your forum account is separate from your CO account. Most of us just list our characters in our signatures to let everyone know what our characters are. It's a lot simpler that way than having two accounts. It's the same with the IFS permissions. Your CO menu and ACAD menu will both be available, but your log in would still be the same. You don't have to change your character in your sim either, if that's what you're asking. My CO character is Liarra Von, but I use Emily Quinn as my admiralty character.

Oh ok, about the forum account, I was thinking that I'll just change it to my ACAD character as it is the highest but have signatures for my characters.
When I add them I'll add the template explanation so if anyone wants one you can PM me.

Either way. I mean, currently I am using the name of a character I am not even actively playing at the moment, lol. Once I finish the avatar for my Admiral character, I'll probably switch over, but I have been so busy lately.

In either case, however you want to do it is fine
