Both look good...
In weather we use meters and Celsius unless we are doing sea height then its in feet...

I agree, they're both good. I really don't see the issue with metric measurement, but I also don't have a problem with adding the conversion in parenthesis afterwards. Though I do agree with Krace that it seems less ... official that way.
