Monthlies?
Hi all,
I was just poking around the ifs site and I noticed that we haven't given out monthly awards (Diamond, Jade, Ruby SIM, PotM, etc) since October of last year. Are we discontinuing those awards?
Just curious

Re: Monthlies?
There isn't a Deputy Personnel Officer filling the Awards role that is why.

Re: Monthlies?
To my knowledge that position isn't open right now, is it? Also: DPM would pick up those responsibilities in lieu of a deputy.

Re: Monthlies?
Hrm...Well the position is vacant and I talked to the DPM the other day and was informed that it really is always open...Also a position that is a Deputy such as that would have to be announced as open for up to 7 days and then decided upon by the PFA. And, you are right, but I think the standing DPM is busy with real life stuff so as far as I know it's discontinued for now.

Re: Monthlies?
To answer all of your questions about awards.
The DPM Director has had some RL issues as of late and hasn't had time to sit down and handle the awards. We ask that everyone please be patient during this time. If you feel that you have something to offer the DPM Department I'm sure Commodore Baker will be more than welcome to hear from you.

Re: Monthlies?
RL Comes first Thanks for the insight, Terris! I actually send an e-mail to DPM the other day offering unofficial assistance if it's needed, so if you want to toss anything my way as well, please do. I'm more than happy to help
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Monthlies?
Actually I've been putting some thought into reinstating the reinstating the monthly's since I took over the DPM. Personally, I'd like to bring them back sometime within the next month or so.

Re: Monthlies?
I think it would be a great idea for all sims to use awards on their sims and to have fleet level monthly awards.
