Fighter Pilot

Jordan Tanaka
This character originated in a mirror Trek simm which pretty much died on the vine.
It was too dark and depressing.
(My opinion is that deep struggle makes for good drama, but the audience shouldn't leave the theater in need of therapy.)
Jordan is married to a Romulan. She began as his prisoner who wanted to kill him. Eventually, she transitioned his war bride.
I think they had a baby on the way... don' remember.
Jordan's forte is in 'ground attack'. He has a natural boldness for hitting well defended targets with heavy ordinance.
He doesn't display Red Barron super dogfight abilities, but he survives by employing quality team tactics.
(History has proven that competent pilots can engage extraordinary talent if they cooperate as a team.)
He's been outright 'shot down' twice, once attacking a static target and once against a ship.
He's also limped back in his fighter a few times after getting shot up by defending fighters.
Jordan's favorite mount is a tough, heavy fighter-bomber. (Think P47 Thunderbolt or F4U Corsair)
He is capable of leading a flight, but he avoids taking command roles.
His cup of tea is the hard, front line clash.
In addition to assault missions, he's flown recon, intercept, and escort.
He could probably do quite well in runabouts, but count on him stressing your inertia compensators to their limits in violent maneuvers!
